BOAT-COMPARATOR Guide
How much does it cost to rent a boat in 2026? Real prices
RIB, motorboat, sailboat, catamaran or yacht: the price ranges we actually see across rental platforms, and the fees people forget.
It is the first question everyone asks — and the honest answer is: it depends on the boat, the season and the platform. Here are the ranges we actually observe by aggregating offers from the major platforms.
Price ranges by boat type (per day)
- License-free boat: €100–250 — perfect for discovering a coastline with the family, zero paperwork.
- RIB (rigid inflatable): €200–600 depending on engine power — the best thrills-per-euro for a day with friends.
- Motorboat: €250–900 — comfort, sun deck, a cabin on the larger ones.
- Sailboat: €300–700 per day, often rented by the week (€1,500–4,000).
- Catamaran: €800–1,500 per day, €3,000–8,000 per week in high season.
- Motor yacht: from €2,500 per day, skipper usually mandatory.
The fees people forget (and that Boat-Comparator shows)
The listed price is almost never the final price. Budget for: the platform's service fee (0–9% depending on the player), a skipper if you have no license or no desire to drive (€150–350/day), fuel (rarely included on motorboats — €20–80 per hour of cruising), and the security deposit, blocked but not charged (€500–5,000).
Three ways to pay less
1. Compare platforms. The same type of boat, same port, same dates routinely varies by 10–25% between platforms — which is exactly what Boat-Comparator surfaces in one search.
2. Shift by one week. Late June and early September give you the same sea as mid-August, 30–40% cheaper.
3. Start from the right port. Renting in Mandelieu or Golfe-Juan instead of Cannes proper often saves 15% for the same waters — Boat-Comparator's "nearby" feature shows neighbouring ports automatically.
