This is where comparing pays. On the same boat listed on both platforms, we routinely record price gaps of 10 to 25% — sometimes favouring one, sometimes the other, with no stable pattern. Service fees follow the same logic: the observed range runs from 0 to 9% depending on platform and offer, and only the payment page shows the true total. Experience and reliability: two marketplaces of the same nature
Both platforms mix professional and private owners, with everything that implies: some excellent listings, some less so, and a cancellation policy that varies with each owner — check every offer before paying. Neither structurally guarantees a better experience on the pontoon; previous renters' reviews and the quality of your exchange with the owner make the difference, far more than the logo at the top of the page. Take five minutes to message the owner before booking: the speed and clarity of the reply tell you a great deal about the fortnight ahead.
