BOAT-COMPARATOR Guide
Boat Rental in Kaş and Antalya, on Turkey's Turquoise Coast
A sunken city, Lycian coves, Antalya's big marina: renting a boat on the Turquoise Coast, east of Fethiye and Göcek.
East of Fethiye and Göcek, the Turkish coast keeps unrolling sheltered coves all the way to Antalya — the "Turquoise Coast", less familiar to French renters than the Gulf of Fethiye but just as spectacular.
Kaş, a diver's favourite cove
Kaş is a small, charming harbour town backed by mountains, known for the exceptional clarity of its water. An hour's sail away lies Kekova, an island off which a Lycian city sunk by an ancient earthquake still rests underwater: boats cruise over it, since swimming there is banned to protect the site. Lycian rock tombs, carved straight into the cliffs, punctuate the whole coastline.
Antalya, the big gateway
Antalya is the largest city on the Turkish Riviera, with a well-served international airport and a large modern marina. The old town of Kaleiçi, its Ottoman-era lanes and small historic harbour, offers a lively starting point, very different from the quiet of Kaş.
The gulet, still king
As across the rest of the Lycian coast, the gulet — a traditional wooden schooner rented with a captain and cook — remains the most authentic way to explore the region, from €350-800 a day for the whole boat. See our full guide to sailing in Turkey for the paperwork and the best season.
Budget and comparison
RIB €200-600/day, sailboat €300-700/day (€1,500-4,000/week). Boat-Comparator compares Boataround, SamBoat, Click&Boat and GlobeSailor listings for Kaş and Antalya in one search.
