Survey of 5 September 2026 for a 5 October departure: 15 sailboats in Rhodes, median €415 per day, from €282 to €2,561. The figure takes on meaning next to the other categories in the same survey, on the same date and for the same departure: the motorboat is at an €806 median on 24 offers, the catamaran at €597 on 9 offers and the yacht at €2,931 on 8 offers. The sailboat therefore costs half the motorboat and a seventh of the yacht — of the ten bases we documented this week, it is the only one where sail is so clearly the cheapest option among liveaboard units. A useful qualification: across our 177 bases with a usable sailboat median, Rhodes ranks only 65th by ascending median and 114th by entry price. The New Marina 2 km out, and the Turkish coast at 32 km

According to the OpenStreetMap extract, departures happen 1.9 km from town: the New Marina (labelled in Greek script, Νέα Μαρίνα), joined at the same distance by an operator's address, DanEri Yachts Rhodos — a business, not a harbour, and we flag it as such. Then come the harbour of Faliraki (11 km) and that of Stegna bay (26.6 km), on the east coast. From 32 km onward the list tips over to the Turkish side: Selimiye (32.4 km), Bozburun Marina (32.7 km) and Marti Marina (38.3 km). Those three are close as the crow flies but separated by a border: a stop in Turkey from Rhodes means formalities, and not every rental contract allows it — check before booking. On the rules: in Greece, operators commonly rent motorboats up to 30 hp without a licence, after a briefing and a signed waiver; above that, licence or skipper.
