Port Camille-Rayon offers a sheltered berth, direct motorway access and easier parking than Cannes. For the same boat, leaving from Golfe-Juan avoids the steepest harbour surcharges in the bay while barely shortening your day: the finest Riviera anchorages are only minutes away. Many operators base cruisers and yachts here, so you have plenty of choice without paying the Cannes premium. Boarding is also more relaxed, a real plus when you sail with family or with guests who are new to the sea.
What you can reach in a day
From Golfe-Juan, head west to the Lérins islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, for a lunch stop in clear water. Eastward, Cap d’Antibes and Garoupe bay line up photogenic coves, while the Eilenroc villa and the lighthouse watch over the headland. A comfortable day pairs a swim off the Lérins with an anchored lunch and an easy late-afternoon return. You can also drift towards lively Juan-les-Pins, or push on to Théoule and the Estérel if the weather allows. On a yacht, expect a skipper who knows the regulated anchoring zones around the islands and the quieter time slots.

A yacht hires from 2,500 €/day, with a skipper all but essential for this size; budget 150-350 €/day for the crew. A smart day cruiser, more affordable at 250-900 €/day, covers the same island route on a tighter budget. Fuel is rarely included: plan for it separately, especially if you sail fast or far.
