80 offers and an €830 ceiling: rare homogeneity for a large catalogue

72 marinas in the radius, none within two kilometres

Murter is an island joined by a lift bridge, and the village does not sit on deep water: no marina is recorded within two kilometres. They start just beyond — Betina at 2.7 km, Hramina at 2.9 km, Vinici at 3.3 km, ACI Marina Jezera and its 233 berths at 3.6 km, Pirovac at 4.5 km — then come Tribunj at 12.4 km, Vodice at 14.3 km and ACI marina Vodice (273 berths) at 14.5 km, for a total of 72 marinas within the 60 km radius (OpenStreetMap records), the 16th densest of our 183 bases. Many of those anchorages, in the Kornati archipelago just to the south, can only be reached by sea — and that is exactly the kind of bay studied by Livia Maglić and colleagues from the Rijeka maritime faculty in a 2025 paper in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering: surveying 22,100 m² of seabed with an ROV in a northern Adriatic cove visited only by leisure boats, before and after the 2024 summer, they recorded a 25.90% increase in litter items after a single season, with density rising from 1.3 to 1.7 items per 100 m² and plastic the dominant category (see the study). In a bay with no land access, whatever ends up on the bottom necessarily came off a boat: taking your rubbish home is not a symbolic gesture.
