Survey of 4 September 2026 for a 4 October departure: 40 motorboats, an €829 daily median, from €232 to €7,000. That is the 23rd deepest catalogue of our 183 bases surveyed for this type, and above all 40 of the day’s 97 offers in Split: when people talk about the price of a day in central Dalmatia, they are in practice talking about this category. The 1-to-30 ratio between the extremes, on one date and one stretch of water, says the rest: the opening offer is a day hull for a run to Šolta, the top one a unit over twelve metres. The rest of the survey places the category: sailboat at €382 on 18 offers (€150 to €2,296), yacht at €2,522 on 15 offers, RIB at €407 on 3 offers, catamaran on 3 offers only. In Šibenik, surveyed on 2 September, €600 on 30 offers, €272 to €1,400. Split therefore comes out 47% above Trogir in the same category in the same week. The reading is not "Split is expensive" but "Split does not rent the same boats": Trogir and Šibenik line up day-cruiser fleets capped at €1,890 and €1,400, while Split reaches €7,000. −13% from August to October, and what a charter fleet burns

By departure month the category gives €952 for August 2026 (4 surveys), €891 for September (4 surveys) and €829 for October (1 survey): −13% across three months, one of the steadiest declines in our collection — here the fall is genuinely progressive, without the composition jolt seen elsewhere. On this exact fleet, a study by Hrvoje Carić, Goran Šagi and Zoran Lulić, published in Brodogradnja (vol. 77, no. 3, 2026), measured the emissions of the Croatian nautical charter sector from a 2023-24 pilot project run in marinas of the Split-Dalmatia and Šibenik-Knin counties, on sailboats, yachts and catamarans 10 to 20 m long, using the EMEP/EEA Tier 1 method: catamarans account for only 35% of the sample but nearly 60% of total emissions, and extrapolating from 160 vessels to Croatia’s fleet of about 4,500 units gives 30,000 to 40,000 tonnes of CO₂ per season (see the study). One regulatory point to close: in Croatia a recognised licence is mandatory for any motorboat, whatever its power, and a VHF qualification is requested for liveaboard units — no license-free offer has ever been recorded in Split, on any date.
