Survey of 3 September 2026 for a 3 October departure: 20 yachts, a €4,800 daily median, from €900 to €15,000 — the 10th deepest yacht catalogue of our 139 bases surveyed for this type, and the 26th highest median. The mainland comparison is clear: Athens comes out at €4,000 on 33 offers (surveyed 7 September) and Alimos at €4,000 on 17 offers (3 September). Mykonos therefore lands 20% above on a catalogue smaller than Athens's: it is not market depth that sets the price here, it is the address. Be careful, though, with Santorini, often quoted alongside: our 4 September survey finds only four yachts there — too thin a sample to publish a median, and we do not. One harbour, the meltemi, and an island under pressure

Mykonos is one of our most isolated bases: a single boarding point within 30 km — the New Port Public Marina, 2.1 km from the old town —, then the Syros marina at 34.2 km, Naxos Marina at 38.2 km and Paroikia at 42.9 km (30 berths), for only 8 harbours within 60 km (OpenStreetMap data, ODbL), listed on the marina hub around Mykonos. The meltemi blows at full throttle in July and August, F5 to F7 for days on end: plans are made by the forecast, and both Delos and Rhenia have regulated anchoring and landing. On visitor pressure, a study by Dimitrios Prokopiou, Georgios Mavridoglou and Theodora Giantsi, published in 2024 in the WIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment, devotes a carrying capacity assessment to the island of Mykonos: the authors start from the observation that "population density and tourism demand increase in the coastal regions during the peak tourist period" and analyse the state of local natural resources — coastal zones, ports and environmental infrastructure — to derive a set of sustainable development indicators (see the study). By departure month the yacht gives €5,650 for August 2026 (4 surveys), €5,363 for September (4 surveys) and €4,800 for October (1 survey), a 15% fall across three months.
