Survey of 30 August 2026 for a 29 September departure: 29 yachts in Dubrovnik, median €2,820 per day, from €680 to €10,000. Across the 139 bases where our surveys produce a usable yacht median, those 29 offers form the 4th deepest sample, behind only Marbella, Antalya and Athens. That is the first thing worth keeping: in Dubrovnik you genuinely compare, where many Mediterranean bases field only three or four units. Three marinas within four kilometres, with Mljet in view

According to the OpenStreetMap extract, three facilities frame the city: Marina Frapa Dubrovnik (1.3 km, 220 berths), YC Orsan (1.6 km) and above all ACI Marina Dubrovnik (3.4 km, 380 berths), up the Ombla estuary at Komolac — that is where most charter units start from. Then come Marina Orašac (7.9 km), ACI Marina "Veljko Barbieri" in Slano (22.3 km, 193 berths), Slano (22.6 km) and Marina Rogač (23 km). The marina hub around Dubrovnik lists them one by one. The classic day destination remains Mljet National Park, where research documents something rare: a study by Lovrenc Lipej, Danijel Ivajnšič, Valentina Pitacco, Borut Mavrič, Domen Trkov and Petar Kružić, published in 2024 in Frontiers in Marine Science, surveyed the coastal fish assemblage of Veliko jezero by SCUBA from 2013 to 2021. The authors record 38 fish taxa on the coral-reef bank and 36 species on the opposite bank, and identify the reef itself, between 9 and 12 metres deep, as the main factor differentiating two areas otherwise governed by the same conditions; over the reef they note a steady decline in fish diversity from 2013 to 2021 (see the study). On the rules: in Croatia a recognised licence is mandatory for any motorboat, whatever its power — on a yacht the question does not arise, a professional skipper being the norm, but it arises as soon as you step down a category.
