68 offers from €47 to €4,684: a 1-to-100 ratio on a single date
Reading of 25 August 2026 for a 24 September outing: 68 offers, median €700 per day, first offer at €47, the dearest at €4,684. A 1-to-100 ratio within one catalogue — the widest spread of our ten bases this week, ahead of Lagos (1 to 48). A raw median means nothing here without looking at the category: the licence-free boat comes out at an €82 median across 9 offers (€47 to €233), the sailboat at €1,000 (7 offers, €442 to €2,660), the catamaran at €1,350 (5 offers) and the yacht at €3,548 (6 offers, €2,200 to €4,684). A note on method: the RIB line returned for this base is identical, figure for figure, to that of a Croatian base in our collection — we discard it as a reading artefact rather than publish it. See "from" price or firm price and choosing the right platform.
The cheapest base on Ibiza — and 14 km to go and check
Across three readings a day apart, San Antonio comes out at a €700 median against €850 in Ibiza Town (25 August reading, 100 offers) and €1,330 in Santa Eulària (26 August, 61 offers): on the same island, fourteen kilometres apart by road, the median gap reaches 90%. On shelters, the bay has two harbours within walking distance — the Club Naútico at 500 m and Nautic Sant Antoni at 700 m — then the whole Ibiza Town cluster at 14 km (Club Naútico Ibiza, Ibiza Magna, Marina Ibiza, PortIbizaTown, Marina Botafoch), Santa Eulària at 20.6 km and Formentera at 29.4 km, for 12 marinas within the 60 km radius (OpenStreetMap records) — one of the leanest radii of our ten, the opposite of Cavalaire's 70. The north-west coast, the one you follow out of San Antonio, carries a measured flip side: a study by Luis F. Ruiz-Orejón and colleagues, published in 2018 in Marine Pollution Bulletin, sampled floating plastic in summer along the Balearic coast and recorded up to 4,576,115 items per km², with the highest concentrations off the north and north-west of Ibiza and Mallorca — sparsely populated stretches, indicating that the distribution is driven by surface hydrodynamics rather than local discharges (see the study). September: −10%, and the Spanish rule behind the €47
The median moves from €817 for August outings to €733 for September ones, i.e. −10%: a real but moderate fall, well short of Lagos's −14%. What really sets the floor price here is the law: Spain requires no qualification up to 15 hp (11 kW) on a hull of 5 m maximum (6 m under sail), in daylight and within 2 nautical miles of shelter — one of the most generous rules in the Mediterranean, and the reason for the nine offers at €47-233 in our reading. Each harbour master can refine it locally: have the operator confirm what applies in their bay. See cheap licence-free rental and last-minute rental.
San Antonio's waters, in practice
The broad Sant Antoni bay, opening on Ibiza’s west side onto the Balearics’ finest sunsets. Wind-wise: westerly thermal breezes working into the bay in the afternoon and dying at dusk.
Departures, day-trip classics and season
Departures: the Sant Antoni de Portmany harbour, at the head of its bay. The local classics: Cala Bassa and Cala Comte, the Sa Conillera islets, and Es Vedrà to the south for sunset. High season: from May to October, the sunset cruise being the local institution.
