Reading of 23 August 2026 for a 22 September outing: 100 offers, median €993 per day, first offer at €81, the dearest at €9,000. Barcelona shares with Marbella the largest catalogue of the ten bases read this week — but with a very different structure. Here the sailboat leads on volume: 34 offers, €1,399 median (from €94 to €6,400), which fits a regatta city. Then come the motorboat at €528 (18 offers, from €81), the yacht at €4,650 (14 offers) and the RIB at €350 (11 offers, from €175). The catamaran shows €4,850 across 8 offers but spans €292 to €8,580: the category mixes per-seat group outings with whole-boat charter. Leaving from the city centre, a rarity in the Mediterranean

What sets Barcelona apart is that you walk to your boat. The departure points on record (OpenStreetMap): Moll del Dipòsit 1.2 km from the centre, Port Olímpic 2.3 km away below the towers, Moll de Llevant at 2.4 km and Marina Vela at 2.5 km. After that the gaps open fast: Port Fòrum Sant Adrià (5.5 km), Port de Badalona (7.9 km), then the Maresme coast with Port esportiu del Masnou (15.4 km) and Port de Premià (19.9 km). Two directions open up: south-west to the Garraf massif coves towards Sitges, north-east along the Maresme shore. The latter is a research subject in its own right: work by Caridad Ballesteros and colleagues, published in 2017 in Natural Hazards, covers the 45 km of sandy Maresme coastline and shows that erosion does not strike uniformly — in the south it mainly threatens shore protection and residents’ beach use, in the north it weighs more on tourist visits (see the study). Real but modest, and explicable: urban weekend demand smooths bookings across the whole warm season, where a pure resort collapses after 15 August. Among the Spanish bases read this week, only Empuriabrava genuinely discounts (−19%); Marbella (+1%), Santa Ponsa (+5%) and Valencia (+14%) do not fall at all.
