For comparison, the same category shows €2,713 in Naples, €3,200 in Cassis, €4,400 in Marbella, €4,650 in Barcelona and €6,600 in Port-Grimaud. That is the numerical translation of Turkey’s reputation as the affordable charter capital. Six marinas for one village: a unique case

Göcek has a few thousand inhabitants and six leisure bases within a two-kilometre radius (OpenStreetMap records): Municipality Marina at 100 m, Skopea Marina at 200 m, D-Marin Göcek at 500 m, Marintürk Göcek Village at 700 m, Club Marina at 1.4 km and Setur Göcek Exclusive Marina at 1.6 km. Further into the gulf: Kapi Creek at 12.8 km, then Yes Marina, Mai Sun City and Ece Marina around 20 km, and the Port of Fethiye at 20.5 km. That density comes from the geography: the Gulf of Fethiye and its Twelve Islands form enclosed, sheltered water with countless anchorages — Tersane, Yassıca, the Göbün and Sarsala coves. September in Göcek: the meltemi eases, prices do not

Our readings give an €883 median for August outings against €929 for September ones, i.e. +5%: Göcek is among the bases that do not discount the shoulder season, with Port-Grimaud (+5%), Santa Ponsa (+5%) and Valencia (+14%). So the September argument here is weather rather than price: the meltemi, already softened by the Lycian mountain screen, eases further in the shoulder season, and the water is at its warmest.
